Castle stories being written anew

Ever since they were built a millennium ago, castles have stirred the imagination of those living in them as well as those observing them from afar. Castle stories still live on and some have taken on new content, while many are being written anew.

Slovenia used to be full of castles, fortresses, and manors which housed the nobility and local feudal lords. However, in the last century, they have been serving an entirely different purpose. The stories of kings and queens, princesses and princes, and perhaps a frog, come to life through numerous cultural events, guided tours, exhibitions, shows, concerts, festivals, etc.

You can even spend the night in castle hotels, as many have been transformed into hotels that attract guests with their stories and unique offer. It is not only the castle walls that whisper stories from history, that conjure up a royal feeling for the guests, but also their surroundings, romantic gardens, and the amazing culinary offer and service.

You can even create a fairy-tale atmosphere with a castle wedding. The castles, with their majesty and green surroundings, provide an idyllic setting, while the people there pamper you and offer everything today’s visitor could want.
