Increase in accommodation capacity

The good news of new or renovated accommodation establishments comes from many places in Slovenia: new boutique hotels, apartments and new glamping sites, a glamorous camping trend which has in recent years become increasingly more popular.  New accommodation facilities are, for example, available in Maribor, Kamnik and Izola.

Increase in accommodation capacity

Let us start in Maribor, the capital of eastern Slovenia: Hotel Maribor, Garden Rooms, a new boutique hotel, and a small three-star accommodation in the old city centre have just opened their doors. Cycling enthusiasts are welcome in a new bike-friendly hotel located next to the Drava Cycling Route and local wine trails. Maribor also boasts the refurbished INN Hotel and a new glamping Chocolate Village on the banks of the Drava river.

Not far, at Zreče, Hotel reAktiv is opening it’s doors in January with slogan: My active vacations.

In the beautiful medieval centre of Kamnik, guests can again enjoy their stay in the vintage Hotel MD Kamnik
Bela Krajina in the south of Slovenia has a new glamping destination, the Kolpa Resort Krasinec, and a new hotel called Smuk in Semič.

In Izola, the first themed hotel with rooms and suites, providing in total 100 beds, is said to welcome its first guests in April 2019. Its name ArtRock hints that music will be the hotel’s overarching theme.
