Adria Airways With New Connections and Winter Schedule

Adria Airways, the Slovenian National Airline, started with regular flights between Ljubljana International Airport and Kiev Boryspil International Airport in October. At the inaugural flight tour operators, travel agents and journalists from Ukraine visited Slovenia.

Adria Airways is set to connect Ljubljana Airport to seven new destinations next year. With the summer timetable (from 25 March 2018) Adria Airways will continue flights to the Ukrainian capital Kiev and at the same time connect Slovenia to six new European cities and popular holiday destinations. In the 2018 summer season it will thus be possible to fly with Adria Airways to Hamburg, Germany´s largest port (4 times a week), Geneva, business centre of the world (3 times a week), Bucharest, the capital of Romania (4 times a week), Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria (3 times a week), Dubrovnik, Croatia, the pearl of Adriatic (twice a week) and the island of Brač, Croatia (twice a week).

The first of the new airline connections between the capitals of Slovenia and Ukraine will make the Slovenian market much more accessible and attractive to Ukranian tourists, a market that is traditionally inclined to thermal and health tourism in Slovenia. This year Slovenian ski resorts will also be an option for Ukranian ski enthusiasts, due to regular flights to and from Ljubljana.

The travel agents, tour operators, and jornalists from Ukraine stayed in Slovenia for 4 days, discovering the richness of the country between the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Karst plateau, and the Pannonian Plain. They visited the pearls of Slovenia, tasting delicious local food and toasting to successful collaboration with world-class Slovenian wines.

Slovenian destinations, hoteliers and tour operators shared countless 5-star experiences with guests from Ukraine: Slovenian spas, offering a range of treatments in prevention and health care, as well as wellness services and water fun; alpine ski resorts with natural and artificial snow; Mediterranean towns with Venetian charm; the Karst plateau with Postojna Cave, the most visited tourist cave in Europe; the lovely capital of Ljubljana; and the iconic Bled, with its mesmerising lake flirting with the highest alpine peaks in Slovenia.
