Czech Tour Operators, Falling in Love With Slovenia

In November the ACCKA, Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agents of the Czech Republic held a tourism and travel workshop at the Grand Hotel Bernardin, hosted by the Slovenian Tourist Board and Slovenia Center in Prague.

One of the biggest business events in the tourism and travel industry in Slovenia was attended by 62 travel agencies and tour operators from the Czech Republic, which had the opportunity to meet and discuss possible business cooperations with 40 Slovenian tourism providers. The numbers show that Slovenia is becoming more and more popular in the Czech Republic.

Statistic data shows that in the first seven months of 2017 the number of arrivals of Czech tourists in Slovenia grew by 27% in comparison to the previous year, while the number of overnight stays recorded 24% growth. Czech tourists mostly visit the Slovenian Alps, but they are more and more interested in Mediterranean and Pannonian Slovenia, which offer seaside experineces and thermal tourism. The majority of guests from the Czech Republic choose to stay in camps or hotels. Green, Active and Healthy Slovenia is continously attracting guests from eastern and central Europe and there is no doubt that Slovenian tourism will host more and more business events for those key markets in the years to come.
