Jezersko Guesthouse Reopens After a Major Transformation

After a two-million-euro renovation, Guesthouse Jezersko reopens at Planšarsko jezero Lake with four-star rooms, local materials, refined cuisine and event facilities.

Following a year and three months of comprehensive renovation, the new Jezersko Guesthouse (Gostišče Jezersko) has reopened on the shores of Planšarsko jezero Lake. The two-million-euro investment thoughtfully blends contemporary comfort with traditional Alpine architecture and locally sourced materials, creating a refined yet authentic mountain retreat. In addition to accommodation, the guesthouse offers a distinctive culinary experience and space for gatherings and events.

In early February 2026, the new guesthouse welcomed its first guests, rising on the site of the former inn and restoring vibrant hospitality to this scenic corner of Jezersko. Although construction proved demanding, the reopening marks the return of a lively meeting point for both locals and visitors.

Slightly larger than its predecessor, the four-star property features seven elegantly appointed rooms – three doubles and four family rooms – designed with natural materials such as local spruce and Jezersko larch. Carefully curated details, including a bar counter crafted from local tufa stone, reflect a strong sense of place. Alongside the main dining area, guests can make use of a dedicated space for meetings or smaller events, with a terrace planned as a future addition.

The kitchen continues the guesthouse’s long-standing culinary tradition while introducing new sweet creations, including vegan cakes and house-made ice cream. The guesthouse operates from Tuesday to Sunday, and also on Mondays during the high season.
