The 40th Edition of St. Martin's Festival in Maribor

Maribor will this year host an expanded five-day celebration of St. Martin's Festival (Martinovanje), taking place from 7 to 11 November 2025, marking the 40th anniversary edition of Slovenia’s largest St. Martin’s Festival.

Marking its 40th anniversary edition of St. Martin's Festival (Slovenia’s largest wine festival), Maribor, the capital of Styrian wine tradition, is preparing for an expanded five-day celebration. Taking place from 7 to 11 November 2025, the event will bring together a rich blend of culture, entertainment, fine cuisine, authentic wine experiences and local stories that have defined this beloved celebration for the past four decades.

The main events will take place on Friday and Saturday, 7 and 8 November, along Koroška Street, and on Tuesday, 11 November, at Leon Štukelj Square, where the traditional blessing of the new wine will be held. This year, the festivities will also extend to Grajski trg and the Vinag wine cellar, while local tourist associations in Limbuš, Malečnik and Kamnica will host their own Martinovanje celebrations.

A highlight of the event will be the Wine & Dine programme, in which restaurants, traditional inns, tourist farms and wine cellars will offer autumn gastronomic experiences at set prices. From 3 to 11 November, visitors will be able to savour the very best that Styria has to offer – from local wines to exquisite dishes that pair perfectly with them.

Attracting up to 20,000 visitors each year, Martinovanje in Maribor goes beyond a traditional wine festival to become a comprehensive autumn experience, where wine, gastronomy, culture and the joy of life intertwine.
