STB Business Events to Promote Slovenian Tourism in Europe and Globally by the End of 2025

By the end of 2025, under the leadership of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB), Slovenian tourism will be showcased through a series of business events across Europe and worldwide. These events will bring together international business partners – including representatives of the tourism industry, tour operators, travel agencies, and their associations, providing valuable opportunities to connect and cooperate with Slovenian tourism stakeholders. 

Aligned with the Slovenian Tourism Development Strategy and the mission of the STB, the purpose of these events is to strengthen business cooperation and expand opportunities for attracting international guests to experience holidays in Slovenia.

Slovenia in the frame of the Largest Global Tourism Event of the Year: WTM London 2025

The largest global tourism event this year will be WTM London 2025, taking place from 4 to 6 November 2025. Slovenian tourism representatives will once again traditionally showcase Slovenia as competitive tourism destination at this global trade fair, organized by the STB at the joint stand under the national brand “I FEEL SLOVENIA.”

All interested partners are warmly invited to visit the Slovenian stand at WTM London 2025, located in the Europe section of the exhibition grounds, entrance N8, stand no. 230. Here, visitors will be able to discover the latest offers, innovations, and attractive holiday opportunities in Slovenia – the only country in the world with LOVE in its name.

Slovenia Showcased at EXPO 2025 Osaka

The global recognition and reputation of Slovenia as a tourist destination in the heart of Europe is also being strengthened in Japan at EXPO 2025 Osaka. Read more  At the Slovenian Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka, STB present Slovenia as a diverse European destination at the crossroads of the Alps and the Adriatic, providing business partners from around the world with insights into Slovenian tourism.

In addition, the STB will intensify its promotional activities in Japan in September by hosting two dedicated business events for tourism industry representatives: on 24 September 2025 in Tokyo and 25 September 2025 in Osaka.

Business Events in 2025 in Slovenia’s Key Tourism Markets

In 2025, business events will be particularly diverse across the primary markets of Slovenian tourism, where the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) operates its representative offices: Austria, Germany with Switzerland, and Italy.

Austria

The most important business events for presenting Slovenia as a tourist destination to Austrian partners by the end of the year include:

  • September 1, 2025Travel Agency Day at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna
  • October 16, 2025Slovenian Tourism Workshop in Graz
  • November 10, 2025 – Participation at the Reception for Austrian Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, Travel Journalists, and Key Stakeholders, organized by Corps Touristique Austria in Vienna
  • November 17–18, 2025 – Presentation of Slovenian tourism at the B.T.B. Coach Operators' Trade Fair in Spielberg near Graz
  • November 18, 2025 – The Orange Wine Festival in Vienna, targeting Austrian business audiences, including tour operators, travel agents, and other specialized professionals.

 

Germany and Switzerland

The most significant autumn business events promoting Slovenia in Germany and Switzerland this year are:

  • August 29 – September 7, 2025 – Business talks during the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf
  • September 9–10, 2025Slovenian Workshops in Zurich and Basel
  • October 27–30, 2025 – The Slovenian Tourism Roadshow: Around the World – Germany in cooperation with Aviareps, with workshops in Dresden, Berlin, Hamburg, and Münster
  • November 19–23, 2025 – Business meetings during the TC Fair in Leipzig.

 

Italy

The key business promotional activities in Italy until the end of 2025 are:

  • September 13–21, 2025Salone del Camper in Parma
  • October 8–10, 2025TTG Rimini Tourism Fair
  • October 8–12, 2025 – Business meetings and promotional activities during Barcolana Trieste
  • October 28, 2025Tourism Industry Workshop in Turin

Other European and International Events

By the end of the year, STB will also take part in several major business events across Europe and beyond:

  • 18 September 2025Slovenian Tourism Workshop in Budapest - registration link,
  • 23–25 September 2025IFTM Paris Trade Fair,
  • October 2025 – Further promotional activities in Serbia and the Gulf States (to be confirmed),
  • 18–20 November 2025 – Participation at IBTM Barcelona Congress Fair,
  • 25–26 November 2025Slovenian Tourism Roadshow in Katowice and Wroclaw, Poland,
  • 27 November 2025Tourism Industry Workshop in Prague.

STB also engages in joint partnership promotional business events with other destinations, as Austria and Croatia – ali dopišemo s katerimi institucijam?.

Apart from that, STB systematically develops international business cooperation with leading global tourism associations. We should highlight current collaborations, such as those with Virtuoso, Signature, etc.

Therefore, the promotion of Slovenia's recognition and reputation as a tourist destination is also taking place in cooperation with sports stars from Slovenia - proud ambassadors of Slovenian tourism.

In addition, STB consistently promotes Active Slovenia at selected international and domestic sporting events. Following this year’s outstanding achievements at the Tour de France, Slovenia will, by the end of 2025, proudly participate in major events such as L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France, IFSC World Cup Koper 2025 | I feel Slovenia, I feel Slovenia Julian Alps Trail Run by UTMB in NLB 29th Ljubljana Marathon | I feel Slovenia.

Slovenia at Global Tourism Business Market

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, STB continues to showcase Slovenia at numerous international tourism industry events worldwide. Through these activities, the STO systematically fosters international business cooperation in tourism while enhancing the development of Slovenia’s tourism offer and expanding holiday opportunities for foreign visitors.
