Strengthening Responsible Mountain Discovering

More and more travelers are discovering the magic of Slovenia’s mountains—but with rising numbers come growing risks. To help ensure that every alpine adventure is both safe and memorable, the Slovenian Tourist Board is stepping up with practical, easy-to-access guidance for a safer journey into the wild.

"Safely into the mountains" Landing Page for Responsible Mountain Visits

In partnership with Slovenia Outdoor, the Alpine Association of Slovenia, the Mountain Rescue Association of Slovenia, the Slovenian Environment Agency, the Slovenian Police, the Association of Mountain Guides of Slovenia, the Julian Alps Community, and Triglav National Park, the Slovenian Tourist Board is continuing the “Safe in the Mountains” campaign. In 2024, the trusted guide “Things You Should Know Before Heading Out to the Mountains” was revamped and relaunched on Slovenia.info under the Safely into the Mountains title, featuring an expanded selection of expert tips and planning resources for hiking in the Slovenian Alps.
