Redefining Wellness: Terme Olimia's Latest Thermal Innovations and Family Retreat

The Terme Olimia Group has unveiled its latest investments and announced the groundbreaking construction of Slovenia's first dedicated family hotel. This milestone marks the continuation of the most significant investment cycle in the group's history. Notably, 2024 proved to be a record-breaking year, as it surpassed 565,000 overnight stays for the first time.

On Valentine's Day, Vodian Wellness officially opened its doors, offering visitors an impressive 2,000 square metres of state-of-the-art thermal areas, along with the highly anticipated 25-metre swimming pool. Adding to this momentum, a significant contract exceeding 23 million euros was recently signed with Remont d.d. from Celje for the construction of Slovenia's first family hotel. Scheduled to welcome guests in May next year, this pioneering project underscores the group's dedication to expanding family-friendly offer.

A Modern Wellness Experience at the Renovated Vodian Wellness

This year, the renovated therapeutic pool at Breza Hotel has been complemented by brand-new pools, offering guests an impressive 2,000 m² of additional thermal areasVodian Wellness introduces a contemporary concept of relaxation, seamlessly blending thermal experiences with modern sauna indulgence. Designed for complete relaxation and rejuvenation, it caters to families, individuals, athletes, and groups alike.

Recognizing the growing demand for additional pool facilities—particularly during holidays and school breaks—Terme Olimia has responded by creating a new wellness oasis that finally fulfills the local community's and sports enthusiasts' long-standing wish for a swimming pool. The expansive new complex now features a 25-metre swimming pool, a warm therapeutic pool, a relaxation pool with massage jets and a children's pool with playful amenities. Together, these facilities can accommodate up to 300 visitors at once.

Guests can also unwind in the newly opened sauna oasis located on the gallery above the pools. This intimate retreat includes three spacious saunas: a Finnish sauna accommodating up to 50 visitors, an infrared sauna for 20 guests and a steam sauna that can host 16 guests. The exclusive ambiance is enhanced by the limited number of visitors allowed in the sauna area at any given time, ensuring a peaceful and personalized experience. Daily sauna rituals, including exfoliation treatments and air-whisking ceremonies performed by skilled sauna masters, further enrich the wellness offer.

Starting in spring, visitors can also explore the beautifully renovated rooftop park featuring a lush herbal garden, adding a refreshing outdoor element to the wellness journey. With an investment value of 5 million euros, Terme Olimia successfully completed the construction work on schedule and within the planned budget, delivering a state-of-the-art wellness destination for all seeking relaxation and well-being.

Construction of Slovenia's First Family Hotel Set to Begin

Terme Olimia is gearing up to make history with the construction of Slovenia's first family hotel. Preparatory work has been completed and the construction site is ready for building to commence in early March. The grand opening is scheduled for 21 May 2026, with the first guests arriving on 22 May 2026. Reservations are already open, with the first bookings confirmed.

This pioneering family hotel will offer 146 family-friendly rooms, multiple playrooms and vibrant entertainment and creative spaces. It will be connected with Wellness Termalija Family Fun through a panoramic corridor, providing direct access to the family pool. Nestled in a tranquil forest setting, the hotel will also feature its own private access road.

The new addition addresses growing market demand for family-oriented accommodations while strategically enhancing Terme Olimia’s overall offer. The hotel will complete a thoughtfully designed guest experience by allowing Sotelia Wellness Hotel to transition into an adults-only hotel, complementing the existing Orhidelia Wellness, which already restricts entry to guests over 15. Meanwhile, Breza Hotel, popular among older guests and groups due to its health facilities, will link directly to the newly renovated Vodian Wellness.
