Enhanced flight connections to Ljubljana Airport

The last six months have seen several positive changes, from new destinations to more frequent flights. More changes are expected to occur before the beginning of the summer flight schedule, with the Madrid connection undoubtedly among the most eagerly awaited.

Ljubljana Airport is planning a new destination to which the passengers of the two countries involved have been looking forward since its announcement; the Ljubljana – Madrid flight will be operated by Spanish Iberia for five weeks from 25 July. Brussels Airlines is increasing the number of flights and will connect Ljubljana with Brussels at least seven times a week. The same goes for Lufthansa, which will operate a morning flight (7:05) to Frankfurt from 29 March on. Flights to London Heathrow, operated by British Airways since last year, will be more frequent and offered for a longer period this year: four times a week in the period from 22 May to 25 September.

Israir is introducing connection between Tel Aviv and Ljubljana, starting with three flights in April and then from 23 May until 13 October there will be two flights per week. Windrose Airlines has announced a regular flight connection with the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv twice a week from 30 April on.

Turkish Airlines will boost its service between Ljubljana and Istanbul, with more flights and bigger aircraft, even for up to 280 passengers. Ljubljana will be connected with Paris and Moscow twice a day by Air France and Aeroflot respectively. The frequency of flights will be increased by other airlines as well; Montenegro Airlines will fly to Podgorica six times a week, Finnish Finnair will fly to Helsinki every day, and LOT, having flown to Warsaw every day last year, will fly eight times a week during the summer of 2020.
