A family fish farm Fonda in the southernmost part of the Slovenian coast grew from a local attraction into the first brand in the world in the field of farming sea fish. The farm has a carefully devised business model, which solidifies the recognisability of its brand through tours of its ‘sea field’, culinary workshops, and fish and clam tastings.
The fish boutique in the middle of the protected area of the Sečovlje Salt Pans landscape park stands out due to its manual work methods and sustainable farming of sea bass and gilt-head sea bream only from selected fingerlings.
