Slovenian Tourism Barometer
Introduced in 2025, the Slovenian Tourism Barometer provides regular insight into the current situation, short-term outlook and key trends in Slovenian tourism. Modelled on the approach used by UN Tourism, it supports systematic monitoring of tourism sentiment and expectations throughout the year.
Monitoring Tourism Trends in Slovenia
The Slovenian Tourism Barometer is a quarterly monitoring system that captures the views and expectations of tourism professionals in Slovenia. It provides timely insight into the state of Slovenian tourism and supports the analysis of short-term trends, market conditions and tourism flows.
How is data collected?
Data is collected four times a year through online questionnaires covering the periods January–March, April–June, July–September and October–December. Each quarter, members of the Barometer expert group contribute to the assessment by completing an anonymous online questionnaire. All responses are treated anonymously and confidentially and are used exclusively in aggregated form for analyses and reports.
Who can participate?
We invite Slovenian tourism representatives - tourism professionals, destination representatives, tourism providers, product associations, travel agencies, researchers, analysts, consultants, and other experts who actively monitor tourism development in Slovenia to participate.
