Management Academy 2024

The Slovenian Tourist Board, in cooperation with the Centre of Business Excellence (University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business), annually organizes the Management Academy for Slovenian destination management organizations (top management of Slovenian DMOs).

The academy participants discover the latest trends, learn about best practices, and gain knowledge to help them lead their organizations and manage tourism destinations. They also meet leading Slovenian and foreign experts and gain valuable insights that can be implemented in their work environments.

The Management Academy is an exceptional opportunity for education, networking, and development.

The main aims of the academy are:

  • to facilitate Slovenian DMOs with knowledge and competencies,
  • to lead a transition towards a more competitive and more resilient tourism sector.

 

Three days, three thematic sections, two locations


Day 1: Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Ljubljana (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) - DESTINATION MANAGEMENT

Day 2: Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Podčetrtek (Terme Olimia, Wellness Hotel Sotelia****superior) - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Day 3: Thursday, October 17, 2024, Podčetrtek (Terme Olimia, Wellness Hotel Sotelia****superior) - CULTURE AND TOURISM

The Management Academy is held by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) in cooperation with the Centre of Business Excellence of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana (CPOEF). 

The School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana is the only Institution in Slovenia with UN Tourism.TedQual Certified Programmes (Tourism Undergraduate Programme, Tourism Master Programme). UN Tourism.TedQual is the only international quality certificate issued by UN Tourism for higher education, training, and research programs in the field of tourism.
