f.re.e. 2026 - München
Germany remains the most important outbound market for Slovenian tourism, with the highest level of interest coming from the southern part of Germany. According to recent tourism analyses, trends in the German market show a rise in short-term bookings, bookings through travel agencies and tour operators, as well as an increase in online reservations. Sustainability is becoming increasingly important, both among travellers and within the entire travel industry. Due to the crisis in the aviation sector and the current uncertainty, destinations in close proximity remain a priority — Alpine countries, the Mediterranean, neighbouring countries and partly northern Europe are currently experiencing higher demand. The scepticism toward long-haul travel has once again been confirmed over the past year. Products focused on health and well-being, caravanning and nature-based experiences are at the forefront when choosing a destination and travel motivation, while car travel remains the preferred mode of transport.
The f.re.e 2025 fair has once again confirmed its status as the leading travel and leisure event in southern Germany: with more than 120,000 visitors, around 1,000 exhibitors and a wide range of themes, it offers an excellent opportunity for both visitors and exhibitors.
