World-class artworks that are pushing the boundaries of embroidery art.
Ercigoj, where embroidery art and banners are created, is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
On this occasion, they are organizing a special exhibition and Open House days, which will take place from May 29th to June 17th 2023, Monday to Saturday, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Gasilska cesta 18 in Ljubljana.
Given prior notice, visits are also possible at different times.
Free guided tours are every hour on the hour.
Welcome all who would like to see world-class embroidered artworks and experience where all the magic is happening.
Each artwork requires hundreds of hours, thousands of high-quality threads, and millions of carefully planned and though through stitches.
In one place, covering 700 m2, you can see the 150-piece collection of their best works in the last 100 years, among them artworks exhibited in national galleries and hard-to-access private collections. A collection of their finest banners and their latest OTON Interier creations for interior design and architecture are also on display.
Visitors will be warmly welcomed by the Ercigoj team, and by Boštjan Vidmar, the director and head of innovation. They will gladly show visitors around the exhibition and the studio where they create their masterpieces, talk with visitors, and answer any questions they may have.
