Days of Slovenian Tourism 2018

The DST (Days of Slovenian Tourism) event is organized in accordance with the strategic guideline of strengthening integration in the development and marketing of Slovenian tourism with all major partner institutions active in tourism in Slovenia. DST will see several important events take place, such as: the plenary session of DST, where the highest recognitions in tourism will be awarded, the 65th Catering and Tourism Assembly, the event called My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable, and the 21th Slovenian Tourism Forum. 

Slovenia - green boutique destination for 5-star experiences

Slovenian tourism sector unified with the vision of Slovenia as a green boutique destination for 5-star experiences, which is also supported by the defined strategic objective of increasing income from the export of travel to EUR 4 billion. Taking into account the target of sustainable growth, increased added value and products and experiences which achieve higher prices will have to become the main generators of this growth. Analyses show that we are growing mainly in the area of physical indicators and much less in the area of value indicators.

Are destinations and the tourism industry sufficiently developing their product range and experiences with a higher added value, and are they thus achieving a more appropriate price position? What are the strategies and levers for activating and maximising value? What will the creation of value look like tomorrow? What technologies are required to contribute to this?

Learn more about the central Plenary session that we will focus on priorities, strategies and measures to make a breakthrough and achieve a higher price position and to increase added value in Slovenian tourism, 21. The Slovenian Tourist Forum that will be devoted to the design of products, creative approaches, strategies and technologies to increase added value in tourism 4.0 and the Creative Café, where we will present this year’s Snovalec award winners and innovative ideas, which were realised by last year’s winners of the tourism hackathon.
