On the Drča hill overlooking Vrhnika is, an imposing monument dedicated to all those who lost their lives in the NOB (Narodnoosvobodilna borba - Yugoslav people's national liberation struggle during World War II). It was designed and made by sculptor Boris Kalin and architect Boris Kobe. Entombed there alongside other partisans from Vrhnika are the writer Karel Grabeljšek-Gaber (1906-1985) and poet Ivan Rob (1908-1943).
