The village lies on the slope of hill Golec (688 m). A beautifully preserved stone trough stands in its centre and a walled village well, still in use for watering is placed in the vicinity. At the top of Veliko Gradišče (741 m) lie the remains of an ancient fort, presumably destroyed by Attila. A 30 minute walk on a marked trail leading to the hill Kokoš, takes us to the spring of Vroče, an ideal place to take a break in the thick forest in the mountain pass between Obrovnik and Gradišče. A stone cottage stands near the spring, together with tables and benches. The rests of quarries
can also be visited near Lokev and Prelože.
Automobiles : Going from Divača towards Lokev turn left at the beggining of Lokev.
