The agrarian village of Mošnje features the remnants of a Romanesque basilica in the Church of St Andrew, and an Antique villa rustica is situated not far from the settlement. Furthermore, the village is home to the only centre for retired race horses in Slovenia, as well as the nearby Lipizzaner stud farm.

The Church of St Andrew dates back to the Romanesque period and is widely held to be one of the oldest churches in Slovenia. With its rich architecture and opulent decorations, it is one of the most important churches in the country.

Across the road from the church, Mošnje Museum occupies an old house and can be viewed upon prior arrangement. Here, more mature visitors will feel pangs of nostalgia for their younger years, and the youngsters can see the equipment and everyday objects once used by their forebears.
