The village of Moščanci lies in the valley of the Mačkovci stream and has an area of 322 hectares, of which 274 hectares is farmland. The village spreads to the east and west of the national road. Narrow little valleys with small streams divide the village into four gently sloping hamlets: Vrej, Breg, Gorčica and Petkočov Breg. In the valley along the main road the houses are concentrated in Varaš. This is also the location of all important village infrastructure. Moščanci lies at a height of 260 metres above sea level and has 284 inhabitants in 79 households. Most of the villagers are in employment, while some are engaged in agriculture. Those farmers for whom farming is their only or principal source of income increase their capacities by taking over the land of those who do not wish to farm or are unable to do so. Some farms are oriented towards commercial production (milk, pigs, broilers) but for the great majority of villagers farming is a supplementary source of income. There are a number of businesses in the village that generate a certain amount of income and provide additional employment opportunities for people from the village or neighbouring communities.
