In a pine forest near the village is a small prehistoric ancient fort where once was a quarry with dark grey Karst marble. A roman path from Štivan to Ajdovščina led past here in the past. A small church of St Jožef treasures a stone baroque altar from the 18th century. In the centre of the village stands a statue of St Janez Nepomuk, a Czech patron, which was presumably brought here by Czech soldiers from Goriška region. Next to the statue is a NOB monument dedicated to the fell NOB combatants and by the road to Štanjel you can admire a pil. In the village grow several mulberry trees, which in the past were used as food for silkworms. The village’s festival is celebrated on the Sunday after the 10th of August, on the St Lovrenc name day. * NOB = national liberation fight

Automobiles : In Štanjel turn left for Komen and at the crossroads turn left to Hruševica. Another way to arrive in Hruševica is to turn right on a small road in the village of Tupelče.
