The small village was erected after the old Divača was burnt down in 1687, mentioned also by Valvasor. in Goranje are also holy images engraved in the Karst stone: two, from 1733 and 1735, represent the Crucifixion and a house has a built in chapel from 1715. Two Karst fireplaces are also preserved, but they are no longer being used. A half hour walk leads to two sinkholes, Bukovnik and Lipovnik, and the nearby Maticov spodmol. Moreover, there are two abandoned caves, where stone was once cut to make stone plates (skrle).
