Berkovci is located approximately 14 km from Moravske Toplice. It is a farming village with approximately 60 inhabitants. The nucleated settlement lies in the valley of the brook of Ratkovci (orig. Ratkovski potok). The brook of Ratkovci is where you can find Časarjev mlin (orig. Časar's Mill), which was constructed in 1930. The mill was renovated several decades ago and now also serves as wonderful spot for hikes and excursions. The visitors are kindly invited to take a tour and see it in operation. It additionally features a museum with a regular exhibition of a vast ethnological collection, and the famous Francis turbine. The mill can be accessed via the 'Sladka pot' path. A serviceable resting area for hikers and cyclists is also available nearby. The local Evangelical Lutheran chapel was built in 1913.
