The village is home to the people of two ethnicities; with an autochtonous ethnic Hungarian community. Slovene and Hungarian are both recognized as official languages.
The bilingual Čikečka vas can be accessed by travelling from Motvarjevci in the north-west direction. Approximately 100 inhabitants live in the closely settled village, including members of the ethnic Hungarian community. Čikečka vas is a multi-religious village, with active Evangelical Lutheran, Catholic, and Calvinist (Protestant Reformed) communities.
Travellers can stop for a breather in the pleasant, peaceful valley of the local brook, or at the serviceable resting area.
