The inn Korte is located in the hinterland of Izola at 224 metres above the sea level, in the village by the same name, Korte, from where there is a wonderful view over the surrounding hills and the salt works of Sečovlje. The village Korte was first mentioned far back in the year 1472 as Kurte, so that the heart of the village is also interesting from the architectural point of view. We can seat 90 guests in three air-conditioned rooms inside ihe inn and the same number on the terrace. There is a huge car-park in front of the inn which is also suitable for buses. At weekends and feast days reservations are recommended. The undamaged nature is an eyecandy throughout the seasons and you can gain your strenght in the fresh air, in a nice domestic seaside area with delicious household fare on the table. Your body and soul can repiose in the shadowsof the old cypresses on the inn's terrace. You will feel free of your everyday worries and be able to try household specialities from the recipes by our grandmothers. All the food is prepared with genuine olive oil only. We recommend smoked ham, cheese, gnocchi with venison, fusi with hare's meat, tartuffs, ombolo Korte (by the original recipe with green olives), fish, fish and meat dishes and to round up the unforgettable apple pie. Along the dishes you will be offered home baked bread with olives. The gourmet's delight will be completed by excellent wines gfrom our neighbour, the acknowledged wine producer Korenika & Moškon. The friendly personell will awaken your desire to return among friends. The inn Korte is also a popular meeting place of the local people who love to sit down with a glass of wine, play a game of briskola and have a nice chat.
