The village is home to the people of two ethnicities; with an autochtonous ethnic Hungarian community. Slovene and Hungarian are both recognized as official languages. Pordašinci is located approximately 14 km from Moravske Toplice. The Hungarian name for the settlement, which can be translated into English as 'small village', implies that the place is one of the smallest villages in the Municipality of Moravske Toplice. It has close to 50 inhabitants, the majority of whom are members of the ethnic Hungarian community. A particular feature of the village is the wooden bell tower with a chapel extension. The local farms and houses are surrounded by bountiful orchards. A serviceable resting area for hikers and cyclists, where one can take a break and from where one can observe the pristine beat of the village is also available.
