After morning glimpse on Žetale from east side when shady forest slopes of Macelj, the peak of Resenik, Žetale, vineyards of Haloze and the church of Marijatrošt are all lighted up, this place can be compared with Alpine tourist places.
A chestnut picknick in October is a well known festival in Žetale. You can as well participate to the pilgrimage called "Jarmek" on August 15, where you can walk to the church of "Marija pomočnica" or "Marijatrošt" (local name). The word "Jarmek" comes from German meaning "Jahrmarkt" or "market day" when one trades in pardons.
