The low hill of Preški vrh rises to the north-west above Kotlje. Prežihov's parents were tenants of this large estate for a good ten years. After ten years, Prežihov's father had saved enough to buy Prežihova bajta, which is now a memorial museum to Prežihov Voranc. The house is a typical Koroškan building, which has been arranged inside to show the typical environment of Prežihov's youth; Prežihov's work is illustrated by the autobiographical and literary fragments in the museum. Immediately above Prežihov's house, above the former buckwheat fields, is a powerful bronze monument to Prežihov, made by the sculptor, Stojan Batič.
