On a rise with a view of the surrounding hills, just a few steps from the Church of Mary with its lavish Baroque altar dating back to the time of Turkish incursions into Slovene territory, stands the hospitable excursion farm of the Polzelnik family.

When asked about their food specialties, they mentioned that they excel in preparing traditional farm dishes such as baked kid, homemade sausages and cold cuts, and various pastries.

There are many pleasant destinations less than three hours' walk away such as the hills of Grmada, Sv. Primož, and Sv. Gregor, and for longer hikes, follow the E-6 Trans-European hiking trail. The birthplace of Primož Trubar, the leader of the Slovene Reformation who wrote and published the first book in the Slovene language, is only five kilometers away in Rašica, and Turjak Castle is just five kilometers farther. Taborska jama cave with its wonderful stalactites and stalagmites and the pilgrimage site at Kurešček are both only 15 kilometers away, and pilgrimages to the top of Velika Slevica take place every first Sunday of the month from May to October.
