At the foot of the Jeruzalemske gorice hills in Radomer, a stone’s throw from the main Ljutomer-Ormož road, stands the relatively new Pihlar “Stari Hrast” Tourist Farm, built in the old rural style. The farm was named after the immense, three-hundred-year-old oak tree adorning the courtyard.
It has three two-bed rooms and three three-bed rooms, a dining room for 60 people, a bar with 40 seats, and a terrace.
You will be surprised by the extremely interesting culinary offer, a combination of traditional Prlekija cooking and contemporary culinary skills, of which the hosts are very proud. All their dishes are accompanied by carefully selected bottled wines.
Your guests will happily invite you to the grape harvest, crowned in November by the Martinovanje (St. Martin’s Day) festivities, and the last month of the year is devoted to organizing New Year’s Eve celebrations. You can visit the birthplace of the linguist Fran Miklošič or go swimming at the nearby Banovci Thermal Spa. Nostalgic romantics must not miss a visit to the floating “Mlin na Muri” mill on the Mura River and Bukovniško jezero Lake.
