Na Hribčku is one of only a handful of excursion farms in this region, so it's well worth remembering if you want to visit this part of Slovenia. Set on a small hill, a hribček, the farm has a lovely view of the Dolenjska hills and the mountains along the Sava River.

Guests can go for walks and gather chestnuts, blueberries, and medicinal herbs in the beautiful surroundings. You can see the lights of Ljubljana twinkling by night from the top of Janče, an hour's walk from the farm. If you prefer to ride, bicycles can be borrowed from the farm. Janče is also where the annual strawberry and chestnut festival is held.

Other celebrations that are fun to participate in include Carnival, the May First festival, and harvest time. After all these activities, it's nice to relax at the farm and enjoy a wholesome meal made with nothing but the freshest ingredients, including all meat and milk products, vegetables, and fruit. The freshly baked bread is made from wheat grown on the farm, and you can round the meal off with a glass of good wine or brandy.
