At the very western edge of Goriška Brda right on the Italian border in the little village of Breg pri Golem Brdu stands the Breg Tourist Farm. Here guests can enjoy an environment that the bustle of civilization has not reached. A typical farmhouse is available for guests; the lower part contains a smaller room with a fireplace, while the upper part has a large room with a glassed terrace and a fine view of the Brda landscape.
 
Toč with pršut (prosciutto) and white polenta, frtalja (an omelet rich with herbs) served according to an old Brda custom, goulash with white polenta, markandele, frika, njoki, potato cake—all these are offered from the long list of Brda delicacies, but of course a wide range of other (Brda and Friuli-Venezia Giulia) dishes are on the menu. And wine from their own cellar, naturally.
 
At the neighbours you can learn the secrets of shaping pottery, and the Brda region and the entire Goriška region are yours to explore.
