The Žigon farm, which has been open to tourists since 1980, is located in the village of Grčarevec, next to the little church dedicated to St Luke.

Guests on the farm are accommodated in modern rooms equipped with bathroom, telephone and television. Among the gastronomic specialities you can try on the farm are dishes made from soya, for which the farm is famous. This means that a visit to the farm is also suitable for vegetarians. At the time of the pig slaughter the farm serves up an excellent farm banquet.

The farm is a good base from which to explore the surrounding area. For those who enjoy cycling, the Logatec Cycling Transversal passes nearby. Places of interest in the vicinity include Predjama Castle, Postojna Cave and Planina Cave, and the intermittent Lake Cerknica. The beauties of Planinsko Polje will remain impressed on your memory, whether you visit in summer or in winter, when the Unica overflows its banks and converts the polje into one big lake, giving visitors the sensation that they are in fairyland.
