Radovljica, Lancovo, 4240 Radovljica
This charming circular route leads from the town of Radovljica
across the Sava, and then on through the forest to the sun-drenched uplands. Walk across the flowering meadows and enjoy the views of Bled, Mt Triglav and the Karavanke Range from the ruins of Lipnica Castle
The route follows the trails, which for centuries linked the estates of Radovljca's gentry along the Sava, and introduces visitors to the cultural and natural heritage of the Lipnica Valley. At information points, the history of Radovljica and Lipnica Castle is explained, as well as the features of the surrounding forest, the river and the geological phenomena.
This trail, which brings its visitors closer to nature, is best combined with a visit to the picturesque iron-forging village of Kamna Gorica

Starting point: Radovljica (Linhart Square or the parking area at the waste separation depot - 46.3337N, 14.1815E)
On reaching the end of Linhart Square turn right and then left, towards the cemetery. Turn left and down the stairs before the bridge over the railway. Passing a residential house, head to the green valley and into the forest.
When you reach the asphalt road, turn right through an underpass, and then on to a parking area which has an information board and trail map. From here, follow the waymarkers.
Should you wish to add a visit to Kamna Gorica to your walk, continue straight in the direction of Kamna Gorica at the “Galerije” waymarker.
