This village trail invites you to take a stroll around a typical village of the Gorenjska region, where memories of the past are still alive. Learn about the history of Begunje, the Avsenik Brothers Ensemble, the Katzenstein Mansion and the works of the most prominent Slovene architect, Jože Plečnik.
 

The trail starts at the car park across the road from the Avsenik Restaurant and first takes you to Slavko Avsenik's birth house, where you can visit the museum. Continue past the cemetery to the Robačnek Mill, and then on to the Church of St Ulrich, Katzenstein Mansion, and through the horse chestnut tree lined promenade and a park back to the starting point.
