The monument to the National Liberation War is situated near Ljubljanska street on the city edge. This monument to the glory of the people of Velika Bucna vas that died during the World War II, is composed of a four meters high column, embraced by an ornamented strip and garlands, twisted four times around the column. The structure is surmounted by an ornamented urn. The location is surrounded by concrete columns and pentagonal stellae with a star-shaped relief. The monument was designed by the architect Jože Plecnik in 1951
