The church, surrounded by a set of houses in Brith, just by the main road through the village
Vrhpolje, was built in the first half of the 15th century. In the presbytery there are two Gothic windows with frescoes from the first half of the 15th century. In the vicinity there was also a cemetery. Thus the name Brith.
A particularity of the church is the still unexplored tomb, which contains 12 well preserved coffins of, so far, unknown origin. The entrance to the tomb is in the pavement in the middle of the church. It is covered with a stone plate, which has a cross carved into it.
On the exterior wall of the church's presbytery, which reaches the village road, there is a Renaissance relief, which depicts the crucified Jesus with 2 angels, kneeling by the cross. Beneath this scene there is a damaged inscription. Only the abbreviations F.F., which stand for fecit fieri, are visible. This relief is one of the oldest in the Vrhpolje parish.
