 Church of St. Jurij (St. George) in Dobrnič This church was built in the Baroque style in 1777. It still contains the baptismal font in which Friderik Baraga was baptized on June 29, 1797. For his name-day patron saint, Baraga was given Saint Irenaeus, the Bishop of Lugdunum (Lyon, France, 177 A.D.). At the centennial of his birth in 1897, a bust of Bishop Baraga, the work of sculptor Alojz Progar, was unveiled in the church.
