In addition to the Soča trout, a natural attraction of the Tolminka, which joins the Soča at Tolmin, is the Tolminska korita gorge. The transparent green pools are home to the Soča trout and, in its lower reaches also the Soča grayling. When fly-fishing in upper stretches, it is necessary to have certain climbing skills, whereas the lower reaches are easily accessible.
The Bača river meanders gracefully along a lengthy valley to its confluence with the Idrijca. From the road running parallel to it, the eye of the fisherman is caught by its numerous meanders, rapids and pools. The trout here are truly colourful, as hybrids between the marble trout and brown trout in all their nuances predominate. The grayling is well represented in lower stretches.
