These are dumplings or rolls made from stale bread, which was previously soaked in chicken soup, to which eggs, grated sheep cheese, raisins, bacon and the indispensable summer savory as the main spice are added. This is a typical Istrian dish. It can be offered as a dessert or as a savory main dish.
