These are three typical products of pig-slaughtering on a farm: krodegini or kožarice (sausages made from meat, chopped skin and parts of pig's head), šankanele or blood sausages and markandele or sausages made from pork specialty meats. Markandele were cooked (sometimes in minestrones as well), blood sausages were dried and baked or fried, and eaten with bread or polenta.
