New in Nova Gorica: DAM boutique hotel

''Opening a hotel is my lifelong dream that finally came true. Ever since my first days working in hospitality business and restaurants, I hoped that one day I will open and run my own hotel. Finally, the opportunity came and the whole idea was realized. The reactions of the first guests are excellent, which encourages us to make even more progress,'' said Uroš Fakuč at the opening of his new hotel.

The boutique DAM hotel offers 7 luxurious rooms and 2 suites ranging from 30 to 50 m2. The credits for the contemporary yet comfortable space goes to renowned architect Ksenija Đorđević from KDA's architectural studio. The hotel is also decorated with paintings by young Slovenian artist Klemen Brun, which give the whole atmosphere an extra touch of extravagance and refinement.

The hotel is located in a quiet part of Nova Gorica and is certainly an important segment of the hospitality offer for this whole area. Through its work, the hotel also creates new jobs and promotes a rich tourist offer of Brda, Vipava and Karst, connecting with local producers, winemakers and breweries.

The hotel also offers bicycle rental services and free parking. All rooms are equipped with cable and satellite television, high speed wi-fi, premium beds and all the highest level of room set-outs.

The owner, Uroš Fakuč is a renowned Slovenian chef and part of the hotel is also his superb fine-dining restaurant DAM, which opened back in 2005.  The culinary identity of the restaurant is based on his creative ideas which combine a modern approach to food, high quality and boldly blending of the high-end cuisine with local produce. He often finds inspiration in the long forgotten dishes of the traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is also a long-standing member of the prestigious JRE- Jeunes Restaurateurs Association.
