Ajdovščina mountaineers organize hikes in the immediate area, the memorial hike to Golake, and the annual winter and summer hikes on Čaven. They keep the beautiful and interesting mountain trails of the area in exemplary condition and also own and operate the Bavčerjevo shelter on Čaven and the Iztokova Mountain Lodge beneath Golaki.
