The completely renovated, more than 170-year-old beehive in the Bavščica River valley illustrates the former great importance of beekeeping in the Bovec region.

The pleasant footpath ascending to the Kluže Fortress along the picturesque Šunik stream leads to it, and it is also reachable by an asphalt road.
