Širje Mansion is actually a reconstructed former steeple court of four knights mentioned as Hof ze Scheyer in 1385 first. In 1337 as many as seven Scheyer brothers were refered, i.e. in 1374 dominus Vlircus de Schir, the arch-deacon of the Savinja, in 1377 Herman de Scheyr, in 1463 Hans and Jurij (George) Sirski, and in 1613 Hildebrand and Ivan Kriatof pl. Scheyra. In 1630, Esther p1. Sheyer sold the mansion to Jernej Valvasor. Five years later, it was occupied and plundered by rebellious farmers, but there are also some other proprietors to be mentioned, f.i. Adam Asch, the baron Karel Egkh, Andrei Kopriva until 1663, the Curti family after 1680, the lords of Strassberger until 1726, Antonija Robida in 1730, and yet many others to follow. Since 1802, the mansion was in Franc Rath's possession, the Krammers' and until the 19th century Albert Dommes's too. In 1897 the mansion was completely ruined by the great fire. Previous to Second World War, Širje mension was in Janko Koritsky's, the apothecary from Ljubljana, possession and it is now a residential premise.
