View other Restaurant regional specialties Location in the countryside Payment options cash only Languages spoken Slovene, English, German, Croatian  Famed for its good wine, this area was visited in the past by eminent figures such as Archduke John of Hapsburg and today attracts guests from nearby Maribor (20 kilometers) and Ptuj (18 kilometers) who come to enjoy the good food and wine at the Pri Baronu excursion farm and wine cellar. In winter you will be offered homemade pork products, pork preserved in lard, cold cuts, homemade salami, milk and dairy products, vinegar, apple juice, and, of course, wine. You can buy wine to take home, as well as apples and brandy. After a meal of good food and wine, there are numerous walks in the area, including hikes in the Pohorje mountains above Maribor. Beside the farmhouse is a meadow for outdoor games and a hill for sledding in winter.
