More than 400 years old, the farmhouse still preserves its original rural architecture.
At the Ločnikar farm, guests can help prepare meals, bake bread, roast a lamb in a traditional bread oven, and see how štruklji, potica, apple strudel, and Pohorje omelets are made. They can also sip homemade blueberry brandy, taste homemade salami and bunka, eat homemade cheese, and drink natural juice.
The Pohorje region is a hikers paradise. In the village, a visit to the birthplace and grave of poet Valentin Vodnik at the Church of Sv. Lambert is a must. It is eight kilometers to the Zreče Health Resort and ten kilometers to the Rogla Health Resort, and from there the primeval Šumik forest, the Črno jezero and Lovrenc jezero lakes, Brinjeva gora, and other destinations invite visitors. In 2001, the farm became a member of Europe’s “Houses with Tradition” network. GPS Northing (N) : 46,4299 GPS Easting (E) : 15,341
