Slovenia has a long tradition as a wine-producing country. The most important holiday for all winegrowers and winemakers is without a doubt St Martins Day, 11 November.

Slovenian Wine Festival and Culinary Festival for many years draw together suppliers and consumers of exquisite wines and culinary delights. The aim of the Slovenian Wine Festival is to present the wines of Slovenia and abroad and spread the culture of wine drinking.This year we expect more than 250 excellent winemakers and producers of culinary delights as well as selected chefs to be presented.

On 7 October 2010 the 22nd Biennial of Industrial Design – an international exhibition of industrial design, design concepts, product graphics and information design – opens at the Museum of Architecture and Design. The exhibition includes a selection of 132 innovative, comprehensive, functional and durable design solutions from 24 countries. The best solutions will be presented with BIO Design Awards by the international jury at the opening of the exhibition.
