The history path of general Borojevič takes us on the trail, which was walked by general Borojevič 2 times a day, in the times of residing in Postojna, where he had his headquarters.
Svetozar Borojevič von Bojna was a general in the Austro - Hungarian army, however he was of Serbian descent. He won  recognition on many battlefields of Europe and at the end he was marked by the well-known Soška front. He commanded the 5th army, which fought against the Italians. He moved his headquarters to Grand Hotel Adelsbergerhof in Postojna, because of the strategic position.He stayed in Postojna  untill 1917, when they pushed the Italians to river Piava. 

The Postojna town council pronounced him an honourable member of community. They also named the path around Sovič after him and put corresponding signs. Italians removed all the signs after occupation. The remains of a chestnut tree promenade are seen when walking on his path. The trees were planted in the first half of the 19th century, by the manager of castle Adelsberg to provide shade on the otherwise treeless Sovič. The starting point of the promenade used to be a place where events took place, such as philharmonic orchestra playing. Another 2 phenomenas are the Queen`s throne - a specially shaped rock, where lords used to rest on their strolls & very old lime tree of special shapes. The lime tree is otherwise one of the Slovenian symbols.
