The path starts in the vicinity of the upper station of the Pohorska cable car and the former succursal church of St. Bolfenk, the present Centre of Natural and Cutural Heritage Bolfenk on Pohorje.

The path leads us along the forest road which at the beginning runs by the main road Hoče – Bellevue and then along the forest path above the Aparthotel Pohorje. Along the path we can enjoy the variety and diversity of Pohorje’s natural treasures, which the information boards of the Rozka's forest teaching trail bring to our attention. Through the forest across the brooks and past the source of natural drinking water, the path leads us along the gravel road towards a popular mountain stop, the Mariborska koča lodge and further towards the ridge of Pohorje. There we can decide on either the longer or shorter version of the Bolfenk Nordic path.

The longer version leads along the forest path to the meadow on the Partizanka ski piste, from where a wonderful view of  Kozjak, Kobansko and the  Drava Valley spread out in front of us. This path leads us further across the ski trail and then along the forest road to the lower stop of the Videc ski lift and further along the forest hillside to the church of St. Bolfenk, the starting point of the path.

The shorter version leads us through the forest, past a military tower and the upper stop of the Videc ski lift to the viewing tower which offers a magnificent panorama of the Drava Valley, the picturesque hilly landscape with Kobansko and Kozjak in the north, Ruše, Ribnica Pohorje, Kope and the Carinthian Alps in the west, Slovenske Gorice Hills, Drava and the Ptuj  fields in the east and the Pannonian solitary peaks of Donačka gora and Boč in the south. When the weather is clear our view extends all the way to Gratz in neighbouring Austria in the north and in the southeast to Zagreb in neighbouring Croatia. Following the Stolp ski trail and the forest road, the path leads us back to the starting point, the church of St. Bolfenk.  Near and along the path walkers can enjoy the rich culinary and tourist offer of Maribor Pohorje.
